It is the future.

The year is 2017 and the world has darkened.
THE WARRIORS is a fearsome street gang.
At night, they cause terror turning quiet city blocks into STREETS OF RAGE.

The many encounters with rival gangs finally lead to a SHOWDOWN where many are killed, but where also an unexpected friendship is formed between two of the opposing members.
